Day Nine : CARE Australia & Inspired Adventures “I am powerful” Cycle Challenge 2010

A super early start this morning – we decided as a groups to start the day in the best way possible, with a sunrise at Angkor Wat. It was truly spectacular and I can say well worth every second of that early rise. Even the cycle out there was beautiful. In the dark, cool, crisp air, less all the traffic and chaos which was to follow shortly…..

And whilst everyone else was either having breakfast or on their way in, we had Angkor Wat to ourselves, peace and serenity.

From Angkor Wat we cycled through the South Gate of Angkor Thom city to the Bayon, the temple of faces. As the day got hotter we cycle cycled on, next stop Ta Phrom aka “Tomb Raider” Temple.

We headed to lunch on our bikes as it was getting a little late, we were all pretty knackered as we had had little sleep in anticipation of our early rise.

Total distance today 30km
