Apologies for the delay in updates folks – very limited access to signal in the jungle!
“What a night! The rain didn’t stop till well into the morning. When it did we were able to start our day. We are all coming back with thighs and bums of steel!
We only trekked 3km today but the steepness of the ascent and decent took us about 4 hours!
The most amazing part was watching a family of black gibbons play in the trees.
We finished off the day by swimming in the river -SOOO refreshing!
A grueling 9 hour hike to look forward to tomorrow……
What a day! 13km, 10 hours – i cannot even begin to describe the virgin terrain we have trekked! Everyone has made it, we are sore, and have a few bumps here and there but are all well -
we are staying in bamboo huts tonight, right on the river- VERY COOL!
